1. To define a new Disk Space resource to monitor, select File / New Resource / Disk Space from the file menu. This will open the disk space resource window.
  2. Define the administrative share path to the server and drive you wish to monitor. Then pick the administrator password from the drop down list. If you have not yet defined a password resource for the machine, please see the password manager documentation.
  3. You will also need to define at what point Overseer alerts you to a low disk space scenario on the server. You can set this as a percent of the total disk size or as an absolute value in megabytes.
  4. On the bottom of the disk space resource window is a "Test" button. This will cause Overseer to try contacting the resource to verify that it was defined properly and that it can be reached.
  5. Click on the "General" icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the new service resource.
  6. In this section, you can define the name of the resource (or how the Overseer console will display it as), which group it resides in, and any comments that you might specify for it.
  7. Click on the "Monitoring"icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the service resource.
  8. Within the monitoring section, you can define your how often the resource is checked, when you want to be notified, how often you want to be notified, and to define a maximum time frame for which you want to be notified. There is also an option here to tell Overseer to notify you if the resource recovers.
  9. Click on the "Notifications" icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the service resource.
  10. The "Notifications" section allows you to enable or disable resources which should be alerted should the resource go down.
