To define a new EM1 resource to monitor, select File / New Resource / EM1 from the file menu. This will open the EM1 resource window.
Define the EM1 address you wish to monitor, pick which EM1 group the sensor belongs to, and pick which type of sensor you'll be monitoring.
On the bottom of the EM1 resource window is a "Test" button. This will cause Overseer to try contacting the resource to verify that it was defined properly and that it can be reached.
Click on the "General" icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the EM1 resource.
In this section, you can define the name of the resource (or how the Overseer console will display it as), which group it resides in, and any comments that you might specify for it.
Click on the "Monitoring"icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the EM1 resource.
Within the monitoring section, you can define your how often the resource is checked, when you want to be notified, how often you want to be notified, and to define a maximum time frame for which you want to be notified. There is also an option here to tell Overseer to notify you if the resource recovers.
Click on the "Notifications" icon on the right hand side to bring up additional configuration options for the HTTP resource.
The "Notifications" section allows you to enable or disable resources which should be alerted should the resource go down.
