The Overseer password manager is used to securely store passwords for your resources while reducing the number of times you will have to enter a password within the Overseer console. Passwords are stored in a separate database(OverseerSecure.db) and are stored in an encrypted format for security reasons.

  1. Pick Tools / Manage / Password Manager from the file menu.
  2. This will open the password manager window which will look similar to this:
  3. Clicking on the "Add" button will bring up a window which will allow you to define a display name as shown in the password manager, the user name you're configuring, and the password for that user name. For example:
  4. Clicking on "OK" will add the password configuration to the password database. This user account can now be used for HTTP, service, event log, and disk space resources.
  5. If need to edit a password listed in the password manager, double click on the line item to open up the configuration for editing.
  6. If you need to delete a password listed in the password manager, click once on the line item and click on the "Delete" icon to remove it.
