| Overseer How To: Using the Password Manager |
The Overseer password manager is used to securely store passwords for your resources while reducing the number of times you will have to enter a password within the Overseer console. Passwords are stored in a separate database(OverseerSecure.db) and are stored in an encrypted format for security reasons.
- Pick Tools / Manage / Password Manager from the file menu.

- This will open the password manager window which will look similar to this:

- Clicking on the "Add" button will bring up a window which will allow you to define a display name as shown in the password manager, the user name you're configuring, and the password for that user name. For example:

- Clicking on "OK" will add the password configuration to the password database. This user account can now be used for HTTP, service, event log, and disk space resources.
- If need to edit a password listed in the password manager, double click on the line item to open up the configuration for editing.
- If you need to delete a password listed in the password manager, click once on the line item and click on the "Delete" icon to remove it.
