Relay Server: This is the SMTP relay server Overseer will use to send Email. This is often required when on cable or DSL when Overseer can't send Email directly via the built-in delivery agent. Many people use the relay server as a matter of preference as well.
User Name(optional): This is the username Overseer uses when connecting to the SMTP relay server specified above. Some SMTP relay servers require authentication, and this let's you set the username for such.
Password(optional): This is the password Overseer uses when connecting to the SMTP relay server specified above.
Use built-in SMTP Delivery agent as backup: When this is checked, Overseer will attempt to send Emails using a built-in delivery agent. Overseer will attempt to use the relay server specified above(if specified), and if unable to send Emails via the relay, it will use this built-in delivery agent to send Email directly. This is a delivery agent only, and is no security risk-- it does not relay any messages. Note:The built-in delivery agent may not work in many scenarios where destination Email servers block IPs. This is very common with cable and DSL providers. This is due to the destination Email servers blocking your IP, and is out of our control.
