In this version of Overseer Network Monitor, I’ve added the ‘Display Name’ for windows services to the Windows Service selection dialog when setting up a service resource for Windows Service monitoring. Normally the actual name of the service isn’t very user-friendly. For example, IIS’s primary service name is ‘W3SVC’– but many people won’t know what that means. They will know what “World Wide Web Publishing Service” means, which is the display name of the service.
