Incident Reasons are optionally used to classify incidents in Overseer. This lets you tag
each incident with a 'reason', that you can then report on later. This can be useful for
identifying the foundational causes of your down time, if tracked properly. Tagging an
incident reason to an incident is a manual process, so setting a company policy may be the
best way to make sure this data is maintained. Setting incident reasons is an entirely
optional feature in Overseer, and it is only used by those customers who wish the top-down
analysis of the reasons for their downtime.
