• Type: This is the type of filter, either include or exclude.
  • Source: This is the source of the event. This comes from the computer system you're monitoring, and should include all event log sources.
  • Event ID: This lets you specify a specific Event ID for the filter. Note that this is only available once you've selected a source, as Event IDs are specific to the source(different event log sources can use the same event ID).
  • Errors: Checking this indicates you'd like this filter to include/exclude event log entries of the 'Error' type.
  • Warnings: Checking this indicates you'd like this filter to include/exclude event log entries of the 'Warning' type.
  • Informational: Checking this indicates you'd like this filter to include/exclude event log entries of the 'Informational' type.
  • Success Audit: Checking this indicates you'd like this filter to include/exclude event log entries of the 'Success' type. This applies to security logs.
  • Failure Audit: Checking this indicates you'd like this filter to include/exclude event log entries of the 'Failure' type. This applies to security logs.
  • Save: Click the save button to save the event filter.
  • Cancel: Click the cancel button to revert any changes you've made to the filter.
